Our Choral Waves choir is a fun, inclusive group who have a wide range of choral experience. We like to choose music that is not too hard to learn, yet provides enough challenge to make us work diligently to perfect our performances. We learn and perform music written in 3–4-part harmony. Our repertoire draws from many sources including gospel, jazz and pop.
Members join to explore a new skill, to find company and a sense of belonging, to improve health and well-being, to contribute, and to feel valued. Our priorities are enjoyment, learning together, being inclusive, and achieving success — culminating in several community and festival performances throughout the year.
Choral Waves is directed by Diego Bechthold and is ably supported by the piano accompaniment of JS Ryu.

The Choral Waves choir has proven to be an exciting part of the CMS concert programs. The fun, upbeat spirit of this ensemble is infectious. Our numbers dropped significantly during COVID isolation but we are growing again and we’d love to have you join us!
