Every two years, the Adult Recreational Choir Society (ARCS) invites six local area adult choirs to join Up2Something and She’s Up2Something in a celebration of song for the public known as Calgary Sings!
The Heebee-jeebees, a local favourite a capella group, will once again emcee the event. The concert not only highlights sublime choral talent, it also supports Carewest’s Music Therapy Program with net proceeds.
Each choir sings two numbers and the night culminates in a spine-tingling massed choir number conducted by ARCS’ Artistic Director, Brian Bowman, the creator of this unique choral event.
Calgary Sings! 2015 will be a night of enjoyment, sharing, and a celebration of choral music in our community.
Participating choirs in 2015, the 6th biennial event, are: Big Rock Singers, Choral Waves, Irish Cultural Society Choir, Rhythm of the Rockies, Savridi Singers, Western Hospitality Singers along with host choirs She’s Up2Something and Up2Something.
