CIAS Meeting on the Future of Cochrane’s Arts Facilities

CIAS is inviting our members and supporters to attend a meeting to learn about the Tri-Site plan including the progress we have made to inspire some new thinking regarding future arts facilities and their possible locations, and to seek your input to enhance these plans.

The CIAS Board has been actively involved in preliminary planning of the Tri-Site development in Cochrane since the reveal  in November 2018. Many of our members felt that the recommendation by the Tri-Site Concept Plan Advisory Group to the Town Council had some significant limitations regarding the Arts. As the Tri-Site plan moves forward, CIAS is working with the Town of Cochrane to make sure that the Arts Center and all ancillary arts spaces, are created for the benefit of Cochrane and its citizens. CIAS wants all future arts facilities to inspire Cochrane’s citizens and attract many new visitors to our town.

We trust our general ideas will inspire some worthwhile conversation when we meet, and that input will help CIAS move forward positively as we work openly with the Town of Cochrane and all other parties invested in the best Tri-Site build possible.

We are holding meetings on two dates to try to accommodate everyone. We hope you will be able to attend one of these dates.

Location: Cochrane Toyota Community Room
8 River Heights Drive
Dates: June 25 & June 27
Time: 7pm
Parking: Please note that parking is limited to River Heights Drive (the road between the dealership and the church). We are not to park on the dealership grounds.

We are hoping to see many of you out to participate in the future of the arts in Cochrane!

Regards,
CIAS Board
