Sing Yourself

January 16, 2011  |  Choir, Public

What better way to start 2011 than to sing it in?  Sing Yourself is an informal improvisational singing workshop open to everyone.

Sing Yourself Workshop

Vocal Improvisation Workshop

Improvisational singing is “singing outside the lines”. We will be playing vocal games, stretching ourselves (both in music and in courage!), and enjoying great company in creating wonderful sounds. The voice, after all, is the one instrument we were all born with, and were all born to play.

“There is no experience necessary for these workshops, and there are NO WRONG NOTES – I promise!” (Sue Denton)

So come and join the fun! Bring yourself, your friends and your water bottle.

For more information, please contact Sue Denton or Jan Tissandier. If you know you can come, let us know, but feel free to just show up as well.

Suggested $10 (or pay-what-you-can)

Monday, January 24th at 7:30pm

Ralph Connor United Church

Main Street, Canmore

NOTE: Also coming down the pipe is a weekend workshop with David Hatfield, who has been leading vocal improv workshops for many years.
