The Calgary Wind Symphony presents:

CWS Sticks 'N' BonesSticks ‘N’ Bones
Saturday, June 21 2:30pm
Rosza Centre

The CWS final concert of the season promises to be an exciting afternoon of celebration, pageantry, and magnificent works, both old and new, which will feature accomplished soloists within their ranks.

Vincent Persichetti was a major American composer and educator of the 20th century. Let his Pageant draw you into the colours, textures, and spectacle of an old – fashioned parade – a fitting tribute for the centenary of his birth in June 1915. And for more contemporary sound, Rhythm Stand, Jennifer Higdon’s unique and engaging composition, invites you to hear our world with new ears by celebrating the rhythmic sounds around us everyday.

Three of the CWS stellar musicians will be showcased in this concert: Mary Hamm on clarinet returns to the stage as a soloist, and Lilac Gilad on trombone and Nia Devetzis on percussion will both debut as soloists with the Calgary Wind Symphony.

Join CWS for a fun musical experience, ending their concert season with flair and panache.
