Christmas Concert

The Music of Christmas concert, one of the main events for the Cochrane Music Society, will be held December 13th at the Cochrane Alliance Church. The music varies from classical to contemporary, from sacred to folk,  from gospel to jazz, and is, of course, highlighted with Christmas tunes.  

Small ensembles such as the Bow Bottom Brass, who have formed out of  the larger concert band, set the mood with pre-concert entertainment in the foyer.

As the choir and bands have grown, so has the challenge to stage their performances.  Even the Alliance Church chancel is not quite large enough to hold the full concert band and stage sections are added to accommodate the players. The 2009 Music of Christmas concert included a final piece performed by Band on the Bow and Choral Waves together and Rob Billington directed from a podium constructed in the audience!
